OPEN DAY EVENT CAMPAIGN

Created a focused promotional campaign for Wickhams Martial Arts’ Open Day, designed to convert pre-interested audiences who had engaged online but hadn’t yet stepped through the door. The campaign balanced approachability with authority, trialling a slightly warmer tone while staying true to the established brand identity.

Role: Graphic Designer – social media content

    • Developed a static hero graphic to clearly communicate the event details and reduce friction around attendance.

    • Designed a dedicated event page to centralise information, build trust, and guide decision-making.

    • Produced a short video featuring Matt speaking directly to camera, creating human connection and lowering perceived barriers for first-time visitors.

    • Trialled a bold, more illustrative visual direction while maintaining brand consistency across colour, typography, and layout.

    • Design and content decisions were informed by behavioural insights around familiarity, reassurance, and social proof.

    • Achieved 7 organic reshares, extending reach within the local community.

    • Strengthened connection with warm audiences already aware of the brand.

    • Set a clear foundation for ongoing Open Day and trial-based campaigns, supporting sustainable lead generation over time.
